At the meeting on September 17, 2008 the Local School Council of the Edison Regional Gifted Center voted to recommend the attached proposal for our school's new community voting boundary. This community voting boundary has been described as "an area that is about half the size of Cluster 1 and includes community areas of Albany Park, North Park, Lincoln Square, Irving Park, Portage Park, Jefferson Park and Forest Glen." The reason for redefining the boundary is that the school move last summer placed us outside of the previous community boundary of our Edison Park location. The community boundary is used to determine the area from which the community representatives for the LSC can reside, as well as the area that define eligible voters for Future LSC candidate elections.
Two hearings have been scheduled for Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Edison Gifted Center.
