ERGC Community,

Yesterday, the 22nd of February, the LSC appointed the Principal Selection Advisory Committee.  We had 23 applicants from both parents and staff, and we tried to choose a group that represented a good mix of personal and professional experiences as well as complementing the individual grade classes already represented in the LSC.  Here are the members of the committee:

  • Cat Murray: 1st and 3rd Grade Parent
  • Michael Voulgarelis: 4th Grade Parent
  • Rebecca Clark: 4th Grade Parent
  • Howard Chang: 2nd Grade Parent
  • Danele Silvers: Kindergarten Teacher
  • David Barber: 8th Grade Teacher
  • Amy Pobst: School Psychologist

Next Meeting

Our next LSC meeting will be this Saturday, the 27th at Sulzer Library at 1:00pm.  The agenda will be posted in the next few days, when finalized, but we'll be covering some of the timeline in more detail and agreeing on the survey content noted below.  The LSC meeting will be immediately followed by the organizational meeting fro the Advisory Committee.

Interview Topic Survey - Formally known as the Vision Survey

We had mentioned in previous communications that we would be sending out a survey to gather feedback about school vision so that would be used to inform the creation of a scoring rubric for resume and interview scoring.  It was brought to our attention that using the word "vision" might be a bit misleading, since the incoming principal should have a leading role in its creation, which is not the intent of the survey.  This feedback helped us refocus our thoughts more narrowly so that it's clearer that the survey is designed to collect opinions about the interview process.  We are looking to launch this survey this weekend.

Thank you!
